Refund Policy
Last updated: August 2026
The short version
Where you bought it decides who refunds you
We sell through two storefronts, and each one processes its own payments. Find the one that matches your receipt.
macOS
Bought direct — PaddleOur order processing and payments for direct purchases are handled by Paddle.com, who act as the merchant of record. That is why your card or bank statement shows Paddle rather than LumaDisk.
Within 14 days of purchase, email [email protected] and we will refund you in full — no questions asked. Include the order ID from your Paddle receipt, or simply reply to that receipt email, so we can find the transaction.
You can also do it yourself without waiting on us: go to paddle.net, look up your order with the email address you paid with, and choose Request refund. The link in your Paddle receipt goes to the same place.
Separately from our guarantee, you may have statutory withdrawal rights depending on where you live — 14 days across the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland, and shorter periods elsewhere. Those are set out in Paddle's refund policy and buyer terms, and they apply on top of what we offer here. Whichever gives you more, wins.
Refunds go back to the original payment method. Paddle typically returns the funds within a few business days, though your bank may take longer to post them.
Windows
Bought from the Microsoft StoreMicrosoft is the seller of record for every Microsoft Store purchase, which means the refund is theirs to issue — we cannot process or expedite one on your behalf.
Request it from your Microsoft account: open account.microsoft.com/billing/orders, find LumaDisk in your order history, and choose Request a refund. Eligibility and the refund window are set by Microsoft's refund policy, not by us.
If Microsoft declines a request and you believe the app is at fault, email [email protected] anyway — we will do what we can, including fixing the bug that sent you there.
What we will refund
For direct macOS purchases, inside the 14-day window, all of these qualify:
- LumaDisk does not run correctly on your machine.
- It is not what you expected it to be.
- You bought it twice by accident, or bought it for the wrong platform.
- You changed your mind. That is a complete reason on its own.
